Book Review: Love on a Dime

I recently recieved the book Love on a Dime by Cara Lynn James. I received this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers in exchange for a review on my blog.

 Set in the late 1800's Lilly Westbrook is leading a double life as a Dime Store Novelist. She goes by the Pen name Fannie Cole to keep her high society family and friends from knowing who she is and potentially bringing shame to their name.

When an old beau comes back to town and buys Lilly's Publishing Company she fears her secret will be revealed, not to mention buried feelings that come to the surface. From the publisher:

It's the summer of 1899 in Newport, Rhode Island, and Lilly Westbrook is struggling to conceal her career from family and friends because of the stigma attached to dime novels.  I found this book very enjoyable to read. It wasn't predictable and I found myself discovering new things about the characters as I continued to read and thoroughly enjoyed them. 


I did find a few typos which usually annoys me when reading anything, but the overall enjoyment of the book canceled that annoyance out. I look forward to reading other books in this series.
